Milford Police Seize $200K in Counterfeit Sneakers, Other Goods

The owner of Family Sneaker House in Milford, Massachusetts, is facing allegations of selling counterfeit footwear and clothing after police seized over 1,200 items valued at approximately $200,000. The investigation revealed that the owner had been purchasing counterfeit products from a Chinese distributor and selling them as authentic high-end brands like Nike, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci. Customers who bought items from the store are encouraged to bring their receipts to the police for refunds, as the owner has pledged to honor these claims. Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino emphasized the impact of such counterfeit operations, stressing that they not only affect large corporations but also harm consumers financially. The store management has cooperated with authorities, and legitimate stock has since been replenished. This case highlights the ongoing issue of counterfeit goods in retail markets.
