The Beavers demonstrated a strong defensive performance, particularly in the second half where they outscored Utah Tech 26-5 in the final nine minutes. Despite a brief scare that saw Utah Tech take a 48-47 lead, Oregon State regained control with a decisive 33-9 run to end the game.
