Barkley made his comments on the 'Exciting Mics' podcast with teammates Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship, highlighting the Eagles' 18-win season, his own 2,005 rushing yards, and the team's record-breaking offensive and defensive performances. The Eagles won their playoff games by a combined 68 points, fueling support for Barkley's claim among some analysts and fans. Others, however, point to advanced metrics like DVOA that place the Eagles behind legendary teams such as the 1972 Dolphins, 1985 Bears, and 2000 Ravens. Barkley also included those squads, as well as select Patriots and Chiefs teams, in his all-time list. The debate over the Eagles’ historical standing is expected to persist.
