RPM International Acquires Ready Seal To Boost Rust-Oleum Wood Care

RPM International has acquired Ready Seal, a Texas-based manufacturer of premium exterior wood stains, for its Rust-Oleum Consumer Group. Ready Seal, recognized for its easy-to-apply 'Goof-Proof' stain-and-sealer, generated about $45 million in sales in 2024. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Rust-Oleum’s portfolio in the growing exterior wood care market, which appeals to both professional contractors and DIY users. RPM plans to leverage Rust-Oleum’s strong sales and distribution channels to accelerate Ready Seal’s growth. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but RPM’s leadership emphasized the strategic value of expanding in the attractive exterior wood care segment.
