A$AP Rocky Criticizes Drake's UMG Lawsuit

A$AP Rocky told ELLE the Kendrick–Drake feud was healthy for hip-hop but said he stepped back because the battle was fundamentally between Kendrick and Drake. He criticized the escalation into litigation, saying Drake's lawsuit against Universal Music Group is out of step with how rap disputes should be handled and that battles belong on wax rather than in court. Drake has sued UMG alleging the label devalued his music, and UMG and CEO Lucian Grainge have pushed back by moving to dismiss the case. Rocky acknowledged a presumed jab on Future and Metro Boomin's “Show of Hands” but refrained from further fueling the sideshow. Offstage, he said he's doing well, noted lingering rifts within A$AP Mob after a 2021 shooting allegation (of which he was acquitted), and is focusing on music, fashion collaborations and family.
