Woman Denies Staffordshire Christmas Day Murder of Father-of-Six

Kirsty Carless, 33, has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Louis Price, a 31-year-old father of six, who died on Christmas Day at a property in Norton Canes. Carless also denies charges of possessing a kitchen knife in a taxi on December 25, intentionally strangling Mr. Price on November 11, and causing him actual bodily harm on the same date. The trial is scheduled to begin on July 14 and is expected to last three weeks, with a pre-trial hearing set for July 11. Mr. Price's family described him as a well-loved and well-known community member who was passionate about fishing and football, and deeply mourned by his relatives. Police responded to the incident after being called to a man in cardiac arrest early on Christmas morning, but Mr. Price died despite medical efforts. Carless appeared via video link from HMP Foston Hall and spoke only to enter her pleas and confirm she could hear the court.
