South Brunswick Man Charged with Murder

A 41-year-old South Brunswick man, Roman Romanovskiy, has been charged with the murder of 38-year-old Lauren Saldana from Freehold, who was found dead in a home on Route 27 on January 9. Authorities responded to reports of an unresponsive woman and pronounced Saldana dead at the scene. The investigation revealed that Romanovskiy and Saldana were known to each other, indicating that her death was not a random act of violence. Romanovskiy has been charged with first-degree murder and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, as the incident occurred in the presence of minors. He is currently held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center awaiting a pre-trial detention hearing.
