Dallas Stars Re-sign Lind, Lundkvist, Bourque to One-Year Deals
The Dallas Stars have re-signed defenseman Nils Lundkvist and forward Mavrik Bourque to one-year contract extensions. Lundkvist, 24, agreed to a $1.25 million deal after playing 39 games last season before undergoing shoulder surgery, and he is expected to be ready for training camp. Over his NHL career with the Stars and New York Rangers, Lundkvist has totaled 44 points in 183 games and is valued for his combination of offensive ability and defensive reliability. Bourque, 23, signed a $950,000 contract after recording 25 points in 73 games last season. Additionally, the Stars signed forward Kole Lind to a one-year, two-way contract extension following his strong performance with the Texas Stars, the team’s AHL affiliate, where he scored 23 goals and 52 points in 71 games and contributed 15 points in 14 playoff games. General manager Jim Nill praised both Lundkvist and Bourque for their skills and potential impact on the team’s success.
