The traffic delay was reportedly caused by a tragic incident on the M6 motorway involving a fatality, which Littler acknowledged on social media with a message expressing sympathy. Despite missing this event, Littler has already secured his place in the Players Championship finals next month by winning the previous tournament, PC32. Littler appeared unfazed by the setback, sharing updates on Instagram including a photo of him eating Chinese food. His absence, alongside several other top players, led to replacements in the tournament lineup. Littler remains a top contender in darts, having won multiple major titles this year and being recognized with an MBE for his contributions to the sport.
