BMW EV Sales Surge 32.4% in Q1 2025
BMW Group reported a 32.4% increase in fully electric vehicle (EV) sales in Q1 2025, delivering 109,516 EVs globally, with notable growth in Europe where sales surged by 64.2%. Overall vehicle deliveries reached 586,149, with key markets like Europe and the US seeing increases of 6.2% and 4.0%, respectively. The company's 'technology-open strategy' has been credited for this success, particularly through new electric Mini models, which accounted for one in three Mini vehicles sold in Europe. The BMW brand itself sold 520,142 units, with 86,449 of those being fully electric, reflecting a 9.9% increase in this segment. While the Mini brand saw a 4.1% sales increase, fully electric vehicles represented 35.3% of all Mini sales. Looking ahead, BMW aims to deliver 1.5 million fully electric vehicles in 2025 as part of its broader electrification goals.
