NC State Adds Texas Tech Transfer Darrion Williams to Basketball Roster

Darrion Williams, a two-time All-Big 12 selection and former Texas Tech standout, has committed to NC State to play under new head coach Will Wade. Williams, who helped Texas Tech reach the Elite Eight and averaged 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists last season, withdrew from the NBA Draft to return to college basketball. He is considered one of the top transfer players available and is NC State's most significant transfer addition this offseason, joining six other transfers and three incoming high school recruits. Williams expressed gratitude toward Texas Tech and Lubbock in a farewell message to fans, acknowledging the city as a second home. NC State aims to leverage these transfers, including Williams, to contend in the ACC and secure a return to the NCAA tournament.
