Shough, Sanders, Larsen Win 2024 Comeback Award

The 2024 College Football Comeback Player of the Year Award was bestowed upon Tyler Shough, Raheim 'Rocket' Sanders, and Ike Larsen. Tyler Shough, a quarterback who transferred to Louisville, overcame multiple injury setbacks, including a broken collarbone and fibula, to throw for over 3,000 yards in his seventh year of college football. Raheim Sanders, a running back who moved to South Carolina, rebounded from severe knee and shoulder surgeries to become one of the SEC's top performers with 881 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. Utah State's Ike Larsen, recognized for overcoming a mental health crisis, was also honored. The award, voted on by Associated Press writers and sports directors, acknowledges student-athletes who overcome significant challenges. The recipients will be honored at the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona.
