MC Hammer Sued Over Land Rover Payment Dispute

MC Hammer, the rapper famous for hits like 'U Can't Touch This,' is being sued by JPMorgan Chase Bank for allegedly failing to make payments on a 2023 Land Rover Defender originally financed for about $114,000. The lawsuit claims that Hammer and his business entity, U Can’t Touch This LLC, owe $76,732.79 and have not surrendered the vehicle despite repeated demands. Court documents indicate Hammer agreed to 60 monthly payments but ceased regular payments in May 2024, with only intermittent payments made since. This case adds to Hammer’s ongoing financial challenges, following a publicized bankruptcy in 1996 that led to the sale of his mansion and relocation to Tracy, California. Despite attempts to rebuild his career through ministry and a 2019 tour, financial troubles continue. Neither MC Hammer nor JPMorgan Chase have issued a statement about the lawsuit.
