Minnesota Basketball Announces Staff Additions Under Medved

University of Minnesota men's basketball head coach Niko Medved has finalized his inaugural coaching staff, announcing the addition of assistant coaches Chad Warner and Aaron Katsuma, along with several operations staff. Warner joins after a successful three-year tenure at Furman, where he contributed to notable achievements including an NCAA Tournament win over Virginia, and has previous head coaching experience at Flagler College and Shorter University. Katsuma returns to Minnesota, having previously worked with Medved at both Drake and Colorado State, and most recently served as an assistant at New Mexico, helping the team reach consecutive NCAA Tournaments. Additional staff appointments include Joe De Ciman as chief of staff, Rachel Herndon as director of operations, Anthony Holland as director of player personnel, and Lucas Stieber as director of player development. The new hires bring a mix of experience in player development, recruiting, and successful postseason runs at multiple collegiate levels. These strategic staff additions are aimed at strengthening the program as Medved begins his tenure with the Golden Gophers.
