Manchester City, PSG Confirm Participation in Women’s World Sevens Tournament

Manchester City will participate in the inaugural Women's World Sevens Football (W7F) tournament in Estoril, Portugal, from May 21-23, joining top clubs such as Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, AS Roma, Bayern Munich, Ajax, Benfica, and FC Rosengard. The tournament features a seven-a-side format with matches consisting of two 15-minute halves and a $5 million prize pool, including $2.5 million for the winners, which exceeds the earnings for the Women's Champions League winners. The competition includes a group phase followed by knockout rounds, with teams potentially playing up to five short matches. Manchester City will field a squad blending first-team experience and youth, led by interim head coach Nick Cushing.
