Viola Davis to Lead Amazon Thriller Ally Clark

Viola Davis will star in and produce the conspiracy thriller 'Ally Clark' for Amazon MGM Studios, reuniting with the company after her recent film 'G20.' The movie is directed by Phillip Noyce and co-written by Jose Ruisanchez and producer Irwin Winkler. Davis plays investigator Ally Clark, who probes an international conglomerate following the suspicious death of a close friend, with the story set across Washington, D.C., Louisiana, and Alaska. Davis and her husband Julius Tennon are producing under their JuVee Productions banner, with Melanie Clark serving as executive producer. 'Ally Clark' is currently in development. Davis's previous project 'G20' was a streaming success, topping Nielsen’s Movie chart in its debut week with over 500 million minutes viewed, despite receiving mixed critical reviews.
