A mass shooting in downtown Orlando during Halloween celebrations left two people dead and six others injured early Friday morning. The shooting occurred around 1:07 a.m. in the area of Central Boulevard and Orange Avenue, with a second shooting reported shortly after on Washington Street. Orlando Police Chief Eric Smith confirmed that a 17-year-old suspect, who has a prior arrest for grand theft, is in custody. The six injured individuals are reported to be in stable condition. Video footage shows chaotic scenes of crowds fleeing the area as officers apprehended the suspect without firing their weapons. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are yet to determine a motive for the shootings.
