Binance has appointed SB Seker, a former Crypto.com Senior Vice President with over 20 years of legal, regulatory, and fintech experience, as its new Head of Asia-Pacific operations. Seker's role focuses on strengthening regulatory engagement, overseeing compliance, and driving sustainable growth in the APAC region, a key market for Binance amid evolving crypto regulations. His extensive background includes senior legal roles at Ant Group, Rothschild & Co, and the Monetary Authority of Singapore, positioning him to help Binance repair strained regulatory relationships and enhance oversight. CEO Richard Teng emphasized Seker’s expertise as critical for leading Binance's next phase of regional growth and regulatory cooperation. The appointment comes as Binance faces regulatory challenges, including a recent full-scale audit ordered by Australian authorities over anti-money laundering controls.
