Liverpool Intensify Pursuit of Isak and Ekitike
Liverpool have intensified their pursuit of Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, signalling a readiness to break the British transfer record with a bid exceeding £120 million. Newcastle remain firm that Isak is not for sale and are reportedly frustrated by Liverpool's public approach. In addition to Isak, Liverpool have opened talks with Eintracht Frankfurt for Hugo Ekitike, who is also being targeted by Newcastle and is valued at around £86 million following a strong season. Should both Isak and Ekitike prove unattainable, Liverpool are considering Brentford's Yoane Wissa as an alternative. The club's aggressive transfer activity is partly aimed at addressing underperformance in their forward line, with possible sales of Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz expected to help fund new signings. The transfer situation remains fluid as Liverpool seek attacking reinforcements and Newcastle strive to retain Isak.
