Irsay’s Daughters Take Ownership Indianapolis Colts Following Late Owner’s Death
Following the death of longtime Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay in May 2025, ownership of the team has officially transitioned to his three daughters, Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Foyt, and Kalen Jackson, in accordance with his succession plan. Carlie Irsay-Gordon has been appointed the principal owner and CEO, while Casey Foyt serves as executive vice president and Kalen Jackson holds the roles of owner, chief brand officer, and president of the Colts Foundation. All three sisters have been involved with the Colts organization since at least 2012, previously serving as vice chairs, and have longstanding ties to the franchise dating back to their grandfather Robert Irsay’s acquisition of the team in 1972. Colts head coach Shane Steichen praised Carlie Irsay-Gordon's deep understanding of football and hands-on leadership since he joined the team. The move ensures the Colts remain one of the few NFL teams owned by a single family, continuing the legacy established by Jim Irsay and his father. The sisters' leadership roles reflect their commitment to the team and the Indianapolis community, aligning with Jim Irsay’s vision for the franchise's future.
