Osimhen Joins Galatasaray on Loan Until 2025

Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has joined Galatasaray on a loan deal from Napoli until June 2025, with Napoli retaining an option to extend his contract until 2027. Osimhen, who scored 76 goals in 133 games for Napoli and was instrumental in their 2022-23 Serie A title win, had been linked with transfers to Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Saudi clubs Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad, but none materialized before the European transfer window closed. Galatasaray moved quickly to secure the deal after their striker Mauro Icardi was injured, agreeing to pay Osimhen €6 million for the season. Napoli, under new management by Antonio Conte, signed Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea as a replacement for Osimhen. Despite a dip in form and injuries last season, the 25-year-old remains a highly valued player, with Napoli setting a release clause of €130 million.
