FA Insists Lionesses Coach Wiegman Not for Sale Amid Tournament Success

The Football Association (FA) chief executive Mark Bullingham has firmly stated that England women's football manager Sarina Wiegman is "not for sale at any price," emphasizing the organization's commitment to her through 2027. Wiegman, who has an extraordinary record of reaching the final in all five major tournaments she has coached, is aiming to become the third manager to win three consecutive women's Euros titles with England. Despite some criticism of England's performances during Euro 2025, Bullingham praised Wiegman’s leadership, her rapport with players, and her cool demeanor during critical moments. The FA is confident Wiegman will remain focused on preparing for the 2027 World Cup, with new additions to her coaching staff set to join. Bullingham also dismissed any notion of hierarchy between men's and women's team management roles, stating it would be disrespectful to view the men's job as more senior. Planning for Wiegman's potential replacement, if necessary, would begin well ahead of the 2027 tournament, but currently, there are no discussions about her departure.
