Nebraska Wins College Basketball Crown Tournament

The Nebraska men's basketball team concluded their season with a victory in the inaugural College Basketball Crown Tournament, defeating UCF 77-66 in Las Vegas. This marks Nebraska's first postseason championship since 1996. The Huskers overcame a second-half 14-point deficit with a dominant 34-10 run to secure the win, with Brice Williams and Connor Essegian each scoring 21 points. Williams also set a single-season scoring record for Nebraska, while Juwan Gary was named the tournament MVP for his crucial role in the comeback. Despite UCF's strong start, their efforts were hindered by the absence of top scorer Keyshawn Hall and a hampered performance by star player Darius Johnson due to injury. Nebraska's victory also earned them $300,000 in NIL prize money.
