Charleston to Host TBT Regional in 2025

Charleston, West Virginia, has been selected to host The Basketball Tournament (TBT) regional for the third time, taking place from July 18-23, 2025. Best Virginia, the West Virginia University alumni team, will return as the featured squad in this eight-team regional. TBT founder Jon Mugar praised Charleston's enthusiastic fan base and noted that regional hosts may have the opportunity to compete in the quarterfinals on home court if they achieve ticket sale milestones. General manager John Flowers expressed excitement about returning to Charleston, recalling the strong support from fans in previous tournaments. Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin also welcomed the event, highlighting the community's eagerness to create memorable experiences. The winner of the West Virginia Regional will advance to the TBT quarterfinals on July 28, followed by the semifinals on July 31 and the championship game on August 3.
