Richard Gere Sells Home, Moves Family to Spain

Richard Gere has sold his Connecticut mansion for $10.75 million, slightly less than the $10.8 million he paid for it in 2022, to relocate to Spain with his wife, Alejandra Silva, and their two young sons, Alexander and James. The 32-acre property, previously owned by Paul Simon and Edie Brickell, features a main house with six bedrooms, a guest cottage, a pool, and gardens. Gere had initially planned to convert the estate into a farm. He expressed a desire to move to Madrid to allow Alejandra to be closer to her family and culture, emphasizing the importance of reciprocating the time she spent away from Spain. The move is seen as a new adventure for their family, and Gere is enthusiastic about the Spanish lifestyle and culture. Gere and Silva have been living in the United States since their marriage in 2018.
