Aston Villa Striker Daly Signs Two-Year Extension Until 2027

Rachel Daly has signed a new two-year contract extension with Aston Villa, securing her stay until June 2027. Since joining from Houston Dash three years ago, Daly has scored 59 goals in over 80 appearances and captained the team on multiple occasions, including a standout 2022-23 season where she netted 22 goals to win the Women's Super League Golden Boot and Player of the Season awards. She equaled the WSL record for most goals in a single season and helped Villa achieve a club-record fifth-place finish. Daly retired from international football in April 2024 after contributing to England's success at Euro 2022 and their run to the 2023 Women's World Cup final. Beyond her goal-scoring prowess, Daly is praised for her versatility, leadership, and positive influence on younger players at the club.
