Deliveroo has named the Classic Bagel from Papo's Bagels, a family-run kitchen in East London, as its most popular order worldwide for 2025. Founded by husband and wife Georgia Fewick-Gomez and Gabe 'Papo' Gomez during lockdown, the New York-style bagel business grew from home deliveries to a busy commercial kitchen and store in Dalston. The Classic combines smoked salmon, cream cheese, sliced red onion, tomatoes, and capers, and beat out major international chains to top Deliveroo's global rankings among diverse global markets. The UK dominated the global list with 16 dishes, including the Dirty Meal Deal from Reading's 7Bone and other local favorites, reflecting a national appetite for authentic, locally-run establishments. Deliveroo's report highlighted a trend of culinary exploration and comfort food, with bagels crowned Britain's comfort food of the year.
