Arrest Made in Rochester Hills Murder Case

Carlos Jose Hernandez, 37, has been arrested and charged with the murder of 72-year-old Hussein Murray in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Hernandez, along with a second suspect who remains at large, posed as DTE employees to gain entry into Murray's home. Once inside, they led Murray to the basement under the pretense of investigating a gas leak, where he was killed. Murray's wife was restrained with duct tape but survived the attack. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is urging the public for tips to capture the second suspect, described as a 'thin Black man'. Authorities are coordinating with the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office on formal charges as the investigation continues.
