Georgia Tech defeats Georgia Southern, improves to 4-0

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets baseball team improved to 4-0 after defeating Georgia Southern 5-3 in a tightly contested road game. Senior pitcher Mason Patel was instrumental, delivering a perfect 5.1 innings with nine strikeouts, allowing no hits after entering in the third inning. The Yellow Jackets trailed initially but rallied in the third with back-to-back home runs from Kyle Lodise and Drew Burress to tie the game, followed by a go-ahead groundout from freshman Alex Hernandez. Georgia Tech's offense scored a total of five runs while their pitching staff showcased strong performances throughout the game. This win marked the sixth consecutive victory over their in-state rivals. The Yellow Jackets are set to face Marshall in their next series.
