The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has written a letter to Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and appealed for further extension of time in the case of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana. A five-member committee has been formed to negotiate with the central government for the release of other imprisoned Singhs and to cancel the death sentence of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana. The committee has initiated serious efforts to continue their correspondence with the central government and is seeking an extension until December 31, 2023. This is a critical issue for the Sikh community, and Advocate Dhami is hopeful that the efforts made by the committee will lead to a concrete decision.
