Coyote Attacks Child in Colorado Springs

A 4-year-old girl was attacked by a coyote on Thanksgiving in Colorado Springs after mistaking it for a dog. Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) has launched an aggressive search for the coyote, planning to eliminate any coyote found in the vicinity since identifying the specific animal is impossible. The carcasses will be tested for human DNA and diseases like rabies. CPW is advising residents to avoid feeding coyotes and to use hazing tactics to keep them fearful of humans.
