Langford's Homer Secures Rangers' 6-4 Victory Over Rays
Wyatt Langford's go-ahead two-run homer in the seventh inning propelled the Texas Rangers to a 6-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday, marking their fourth consecutive win. The Rangers initially took a commanding 4-0 lead in the first inning, thanks to a leadoff homer by Marcus Semien and a three-run shot from Jake Burger. However, the Rays battled back, tying the game at 4-4 with a three-run sixth inning highlighted by Jonathan Aranda's two-run homer. Rangers starter Jacob deGrom struggled, allowing four runs and two homers in 5⅔ innings, marking the first time he has given up multiple homers in a game since September 2022. Texas relievers combined for 3⅓ scoreless innings, with Luke Jackson securing his fifth save. The series finale is set for Sunday, featuring Rangers pitcher Kumar Rocker against the Rays' Drew Rasmussen.
