Lamar Jackson Expected To Return Thursday
The Baltimore Ravens say two-time MVP Lamar Jackson, who has missed three games with a right hamstring injury, is expected to return Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins, with coach John Harbaugh saying he is “very confident” Jackson will play. The team's Week 8 injury-report snafu — initially listing Jackson as a full participant despite him taking scout-team reps — has drawn an NFL review that could lead to fines or other discipline if violations are found. Backup Tyler Huntley started and sparked a 30–16 win over the Chicago Bears (17-of-22 for 186 yards passing and 53 rushing yards), giving Baltimore a lift while Jackson was sidelined. Miami is preparing for the possibility of facing either Jackson or Huntley, and Harbaugh said Jackson's availability will depend on his practice participation this week. The win moved Baltimore to 2–5, and the team still views a favorable upcoming schedule and retained playoff hopes if Jackson returns healthy.
