Wes Anderson Retrospective Set for Design Museum

The Design Museum in London has announced an exciting 2025 exhibition lineup, prominently featuring a major retrospective of Wes Anderson's work, running from November 21, 2025, to May 4, 2026. This exhibition, a collaboration with the Cinémathèque française and curated with Anderson's involvement, will showcase original props, costumes, and insights from his entire filmography, including highlights from his career such as 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' and 'Asteroid City'. In addition to the Anderson retrospective, the museum will host exhibitions on the influential 1980s Blitz club and a review of swimming's impact on design, titled 'Splash! A Century of Swimming and Style', as well as 'More Than Human', which explores design's role in environmental sustainability. The Blitz exhibition, set for September 19, 2025, will feature work from key figures of the New Romantic movement. This marks a significant recognition for Anderson, joining the ranks of celebrated directors like Stanley Kubrick and Tim Burton who have had similar exhibitions.
