Wayne Church Deacon Honored After Stopping Shooter
On June 22, Richard Pryor, a deacon at CrossPointe Community Church in Wayne, Michigan, stopped a potential mass shooting by ramming armed suspect Brian Browning with his Ford F-150 outside the church. Browning, who was carrying multiple weapons and tactical gear, was killed in the incident, which police said prevented a large-scale tragedy. Pryor's truck was destroyed during the intervention. In recognition of his bravery, Demmer Ford dealership provided Pryor with a new F-150 pickup on a two-year lease. Pryor credited his faith and quick thinking for his actions and expressed gratitude for community support. Both authorities and community members have praised Pryor and the church's security team for averting a much greater tragedy.
