The scammers threatened her with arrest for alleged money laundering and insisted on a 'confidential inquiry,' during which she was manipulated into stripping on camera and subsequently blackmailed. Another incident involved a lawyer being abducted by fake police officers who extorted Rs. 5 lakh from him under the threat of interrogation. Police investigations have led to arrests in both cases, with authorities emphasizing the need for vigilance against such scams. Victims are urged to report suspicious calls immediately to prevent further exploitation.
