Manhunt for Suspect in McBee Police Shooting

South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is searching for Alston Modlin, 27, who allegedly shot a McBee Police officer during a traffic stop in Chesterfield County on September 19. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. near McBee High School, and Modlin was last seen driving a white 2023 Toyota Tacoma. The officer, whose identity has not been disclosed, is receiving treatment at a local hospital, and the extent of their injuries is unclear. Authorities have urged the public not to approach Modlin and to call 911 if they see him. SLED is leading the investigation and is asking anyone with information to contact them.
