HBO Max’s The Pitt Wins Four TCA Awards Including Program of Year
HBO Max’s medical drama "The Pitt" was the standout winner at the 41st Annual Television Critics Association (TCA) Awards, securing four major honors including Program of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Drama, Outstanding New Program, and Individual Achievement in Drama for lead actor Noah Wyle. Wyle expressed gratitude for the recognition, highlighting the honor of winning among esteemed company. Despite leading in nominations, Apple TV+’s "Severance" did not win any awards, while PBS’s "Sesame Street" received the Heritage Award and Outstanding Achievement in Children’s Programming. Other notable winners included Apple TV+’s industry satire "The Studio" for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy, Netflix’s "Adolescence" for Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries or Specials, and Peacock’s "The Traitors" for Outstanding Achievement in Reality. The Career Achievement Award was given to Kathy Bates for her extensive and impactful television career. The awards were presented virtually due to the cancellation of the TCA summer press tour, with winners accepting via video messages.
