Minnesota Gophers Defeat Cleveland State 58-47

Parker Fox led the Minnesota Golden Gophers to a 58-47 victory over Cleveland State, scoring a career-high 18 points off the bench. The Gophers, now 4-1 on the season, benefitted from solid performances by Dawson Garcia and Brennan Rigsby, who each added 13 points. Minnesota's defense was key, limiting the Vikings to just 26% shooting in the second half and forcing them to miss their last eight shots. Fox's buzzer-beater three-pointer at the end of the first half helped secure a narrow 31-29 lead. Cleveland State fell to 3-3, struggling offensively throughout the game. The Gophers will next face Central Michigan on Monday evening at The Barn.
