The breach involved a 125 GB data leak, prompting KVKK to investigate Twitch's security protocols. It concluded that Twitch did not perform adequate risk assessments or implement necessary security measures prior to the incident, addressing issues only in its aftermath. The fine consists of 1.75 million lira for inadequate security and 250,000 lira for failing to report the breach in a timely manner. Twitch has not yet commented on the situation.
