Gatorade Names 2024-25 Boys Soccer Players of Year Across Multiple States

The 2024-2025 Gatorade Boys Soccer Players of the Year were announced across multiple states, recognizing outstanding high school athletes for their excellence on the field, academic achievement, and community involvement. Centennial senior Evan Kraenzel was honored as New Mexico’s top player after leading his team to the first-ever class 5A state championship with 23 goals scored. In North Dakota, Legacy High School’s Kamden Kooiman earned the award by guiding his team to its first state title, contributing critical goals and assists in key matches. Sean O’Laughlin of Holly Springs High School in North Carolina was recognized for his impressive 41-goal season, leadership, and community service, maintaining a 3.58 GPA. Boulder High School’s Xander Sevian received Colorado’s award, boasting 24 goals and 26 assists, a strong academic record, and commitment to Clemson University. All state winners are finalists for the national Gatorade Boys Soccer Player of the Year award, which honors athletic excellence, academic success, and character nationwide.
