Plan to Convert Nazi Tunnels into Luxury Bunker

A German property developer has ignited controversy by proposing to convert a World War II tunnel system into a luxury bunker for wealthy survivalists, who fear a potential World War III. This venture has drawn outrage from relatives of the forced laborers who built the tunnels under Nazi supervision, especially as it involves the sale of a cryptocurrency called 'BunkerCoin' for access. Many perceive this development as a potential scheme to embarrass the German authorities and increase the property's resale value. The tunnels, constructed by approximately 7,000 laborers, are located near Halberstadt and are now memorialized at the Langenstein-Zwieberge camp. Jean-Louis Bertrand, son of a former prisoner and camp survivor, has expressed his disgust over the plan to transform a site of suffering into a luxury apocalypse retreat. The proposed bunker promises high-end amenities, but currently exists only as promotional imagery on a website.
