Meta Connect 2024 Unveils New AI, AR Products

At Meta's Connect 2024 event, the company unveiled several significant updates, including the introduction of its advanced AR glasses, Orion, and the more affordable Quest 3S mixed reality headset. Orion, still in prototype phase, features advanced holographic avatars and will eventually be consumer-ready. The Quest 3S, priced starting at $299, boasts capabilities like full-color MR passthrough and is set to ship on October 15. Additionally, Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses received upgrades including real-time voice translation and AI enhancements like reminders and QR code scanning. Meta also announced the new AI model, Llama 3.2, capable of generating content from both image and text prompts, and introduced new AI features across its social media platforms.
