Vietnamese software company VNG, known as the country's first unicorn, is currently under investigation by police following a raid at its Ho Chi Minh City headquarters. The company has stated it is cooperating with authorities and that its operations will continue normally, though it has not disclosed the reasons for the investigation. A source indicated that the probe also involves two affiliated firms, Zion JSC and Thanh Son Communication Company. VNG had previously planned to launch an initial public offering in the U.S. but withdrew its registration in January without providing details. Despite this setback, VNG reported a 30.3% increase in revenue in the first half of this year and a significant reduction in net losses. The company's shares on Vietnam’s Unlisted Public Company Market fell 6.8% following news of the investigation.
