Omar Abdullah, the National Conference (NC) leader, has accused the BJP of forming secret alliances with certain regional parties and independent candidates in Jammu and Kashmir to gain power. Addressing a rally in Ganderbal, he criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah for neglecting to mention parties like the Peoples Conference and Apni Party in his remarks about potential government formation, suggesting this indicates collusion. Abdullah also raised concerns regarding jailed candidates contesting against him, such as Engineer Rashid and separatist Sarjan Ahmad Barkati, implying a conspiracy against him orchestrated by the central government. He questioned the motives behind these candidates running, asserting it was not coincidental. Abdullah is contesting the upcoming assembly elections from Ganderbal and Budgam, which will take place on September 25. His claims highlight ongoing political tensions in the region amid election preparations.
