Road Closures Disrupt Multiple UK Cities for Festivals, Events, Repairs

Several road closures and traffic diversions are scheduled across the UK in early September due to various events and maintenance works. United Utilities will conduct sewer and water main repairs in St Helens from September 1 to 17, causing closures and diversions near Parr Stocks Road and between Chapel Lane and Bell Lane. Oxford will implement road closures from September 7 to 10 for the St Giles' Fair, one of the country's most prestigious fairs, affecting multiple streets and relocating disabled parking. Norwich will host the tenth annual Run Norwich on September 7, shutting down numerous city center roads to accommodate over 9,000 runners and minimize disruption. In West Yorkshire, road closures and diversions are planned in Pontefract, Castleford, Featherstone, and Knottingley throughout early to mid-September for various local works. Additionally, Leicester will see rolling road closures on Sunday for the Milad Un Nabi procession, expected to draw hundreds of participants.
