Man Kills Girlfriend, Targets Family in Pennsylvania

Orenthia Upshur, 51, has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Maisha Coon, 49, following a violent incident at a hotel in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. The shooting occurred early Wednesday morning, with authorities discovering Coon dead in their hotel room after receiving a tip from a family member who reported the incident. Following the shooting, Upshur fled to Trenton, where he fired at a family member of Coon's before barricading himself in a residence and ultimately being apprehended by police. Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn described the shooting as an execution, noting that Upshur had expressed intentions to harm Coon's family. Investigators revealed that the couple had a history of domestic disputes leading up to the tragedy. Upshur is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder in New Jersey, while he awaits extradition to face murder charges in Bucks County.
