Emma Raducanu Withdraws from Hong Kong Open Again

Emma Raducanu has announced her withdrawal from the upcoming Hong Kong Open due to a lingering foot injury sustained during the Korea Open against Daria Kasatkina. This marks her fifth consecutive tournament withdrawal, including the China Open and other events in Asia. Despite the setback, Raducanu reports making 'good progress' in her recovery and aims to return for the Billie Jean King Cup in November. The former US Open champion has faced numerous injuries since her 2021 triumph, impacting her participation in tournaments. Sofia Kenin will replace Raducanu in the Hong Kong Open lineup. The tournament begins on October 26 and will be a precursor to the WTA Finals.
