Neymar Discusses PSG Tensions and Future Moves

Neymar, in a recent podcast, revealed that Kylian Mbappé's jealousy over Neymar's relationship with Lionel Messi contributed to the trio's lack of success at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Neymar stated that while he and Mbappé initially had a strong bond when they joined PSG in 2017, tensions arose when Messi arrived in 2021. The Brazilian attributed these tensions to a clash of egos and a lack of teamwork, which hindered their ability to win major titles like the UEFA Champions League. Neymar emphasized the importance of collaboration in football, suggesting that individual egos prevented the team from reaching its full potential. Despite their struggles, Neymar and Messi had previously enjoyed a successful partnership at Barcelona, which did not translate to PSG. Both Neymar and Messi left PSG in 2023, with Neymar joining Al-Hilal and Messi moving to Inter Miami.
