Knives Out 3 Premieres Toronto, Theaters November, Netflix December

Netflix will release "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery," the third installment of Rian Johnson's acclaimed murder mystery series, with a limited theatrical run starting November 26 before streaming on December 12. The film stars Daniel Craig reprising his role as detective Benoit Blanc, alongside a new ensemble cast including Josh O'Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, and others. Set in a gothic atmosphere, the story follows Blanc investigating a sudden and seemingly impossible murder in a small town, with local police chief Geraldine Scott joining forces with him. Despite director Johnson and Daniel Craig's desire for a wider theatrical release, Netflix has maintained a brief two-week theatrical window, double that of the previous film, "Glass Onion." The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025 and will also screen at the London Film Festival. Johnson continues to produce the film alongside Ram Bergman, with the project marking the darkest chapter in the series so far.
